OUR PROGRAMS
Safe Community Youth Initiative is a 'for impact' organization that exists to build a safe and healthy community for girls and young women in Kenya. In improving the well-being of Girls and Young Women in Kenya, the organization is committed to serving the most vulnerable girls and young women at risk of dropping out of school. Our program priorities are geared toward building life skills, livelihood skills development and providing access to quality education for girls and young women.
EDUCATION FOR DEVELOPMENT
Educate a Girl, Unmask her future
Education is the corner stone for sustainable change and Safe Community Youth Initiative believes that empowering community through access to quality education is fundamental in breaking the poverty cycle. The goal of this program is to increase access to quality education for Girls and Young Women in Kenya. To realize this goal, Safe Community Youth Initiative Improves learning condition, teacher training development and inclusive partnership with the county goverment and the community.
LIFE SKILLS
My Health My Right
The goal of the program is to develop interpersonal skills, good leadership behaviors, to promote confidence and wellbeing of Girls and Young Women.
LIVELIHOOD AND EMPLOYMENT
Creating honorable livelihood to earn a living
The goal of the program is to increase equal access to economic opportunity to Girls and Young Women to enhance employability and self employment. The program is crafted to establish structures and mechanisms aimed at building and promoting uptake of business and entrepreneurial skills.
